The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (JSCA) launches the Third Edition of the Regional Course: Improving Prosecution and Re-socialization in Cases of Gender-Based Violence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This online course provides tools to strengthen the criminal prosecution of gender-based crimes that occur in affective relationships (such as domestic violence), given the increase of such crimes seen in the region during the pandemic. The target audience for this course includes officials of police forces, public prosecutors' offices and public ministries in Latin America. The objective of this course is to present best practices identified in Latin American countries to improve criminal prosecution, especially in cases of gender-based violence.
The course will start on March 15, 2023 and will last until the end of May.
